What are Organisations?
RenewMap tracks the organisations involved in energy projects across Australia and New Zealand.
An organisation may be involved in a project as a:
- Developer
- Owner
- EPC contractor
- Equipment manufacturer (OEM)
- Consultant or service provider
- Off-taker
Organisation profiles bring this information together so you can quickly understand a company’s role, activity and project portfolio across the market. Use them to understand a company’s pipeline, map relationships across developers and contractors or build context before a conversation.
View an organisation’s portfolio
You can view an organisation’s portfolio directly from the search bar or from the Projects table.
Option 1: Search for an organisation
- Select the search bar at the top of the platform.
- Type the organisation’s name. Matching results appear as you type.
- Select the organisation from the results.
A side panel appears showing the organisation’s involvement across projects, including:
- Projects they are involved in
- Power purchase agreements (PPAs)
- Historical or abandoned projects where applicable
- Select View portfolio at the bottom of the panel.
RenewMap opens the organisation’s portfolio in the Projects view.
Option 2: Find organisations from the Projects table
You can also access organisation portfolios directly from the Projects table.
- Select the Projects tab.
- Locate the Organisations column and select the filter icon in the column header. A dropdown appears with a search field and a scrollable list.
- Type to search for your organisation or scroll to find it. Select it to filter the table.
- Select an organisation lozenge in any row to open their details panel.
- Select View portfolio at the bottom of the panel.
💡 Tip: Use search rather than scroll – the dropdown shows a subset of organisations, not the full list.
View an organisation’s portfolio on the interactive map
Once you open an organisation’s portfolio, RenewMap filters the platform to show only the projects associated with that organisation.
You can then explore the portfolio using both the Projects table and the Map view.
To analyse the portfolio spatially:
- Open the organisation portfolio using View portfolio.
- Select the Map tab.
The map now displays all projects associated with that organisation.
This allows you to quickly:
- See where the organisation is active geographically.
- Identify clusters of projects across regions.
- Understand activity across renewable energy zones and transmission infrastructure.
What counts as an organisation in RenewMap?
An organisation is any company recorded as having a role in an energy project across Australia or New Zealand. This includes developers, owners, EPC contractors, manufacturers, consultants, suppliers and off-takers.
RenewMap reconciles variations in company naming, subsidiaries and related entities to ensure projects are attributed accurately.
Where organisation data comes from
RenewMap aggregates and reconciles organisation information from verified government, regulatory and industry sources across Australia and New Zealand.
This information is continuously updated as projects progress, change ownership, or add new partners.
